Built for real timing workflows

One online timer for every kind of timing

Nobuf combines a countdown timer, multiple parallel timers, a lap stopwatch, and repeatable interval sequences in one private browser workspace. Use it immediately without an account, then keep active timers accurate when the tab is throttled or refreshed.

Multiple countdown timers

Run independent timers together, schedule them to finish at the same time, stagger their starts, or execute a selected sequence.

Fullscreen timer display

Show one clear clock for a classroom, presentation, kitchen, workshop, or shared screen, with an obvious exit control.

Stopwatch with lap and split

Measure elapsed time and compare lap and split results without mixing stopwatch records into countdown history.

Tabata and interval timer

Run HIIT, boxing, breathing, warm-up, work, rest, and cool-down stages with repeatable rounds and local cues.

Accurate after refresh

Timers reconcile from target timestamps instead of trusting delayed interval ticks, then restore active state from local storage.

Private and offline-ready

Timer names, presets, laps, and history stay in this browser. Core features can work from same-origin cached assets.

Popular ways to use an online timer

The same precise engine adapts to everyday timing without forcing every workflow into a single 25-minute template.

Cooking and kitchen timers

Label several dishes, run them in parallel, and see which oven, tea, or preparation timer finishes next.

Classroom and presentations

Use the fullscreen display for quizzes, activities, speaking limits, workshops, and visible meeting breaks.

Workout and HIIT intervals

Choose Tabata, boxing, or custom work/rest rounds with warm-up, cool-down, sound, and vibration fallbacks.

Meetings, study, and work

Time agendas, reading, exams, design reviews, uploads, experiments, or any task that needs a clear deadline.

Accurate after background tabs and refreshes

Browsers can delay callbacks when a tab is hidden. This timer treats timestamps—not tick counts—as the source of truth, so the displayed result can reconcile when the page becomes active again.

  • Active countdowns and stopwatches are restored from versioned local state.
  • One primary tab owns completion records and sound to avoid duplicate alarms.
  • Browser and operating-system limits are shown honestly; a closed browser cannot guarantee a native alarm.

Plan time beyond a single timer

Use the right Nobuf tool when the job involves focus planning, time zones, or exact timestamp conversion.

How to use it

  1. 01

    Create one or many timers

Type natural durations such as 12m tea or build precise countdowns, target-time alarms, repeats, and reusable presets.

  2. 02

    Run reliable workflows

Start timers together, finish them together, stagger starts, run a sequence, or use stopwatch laps and structured intervals.

  3. 03

    Review and reuse locally

Inspect private history, export JSON or CSV, restore after refresh, and use a full-screen stage without sending timing data to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Are my timers or history uploaded?

No. Timer state, presets, laps, settings, and history remain in this browser. The tool needs no account or server API.

Does a timer stay accurate in a background tab?

The displayed time is recalculated from timestamps rather than counting interval ticks, so it reconciles correctly after normal background throttling or a refresh.

Will an alarm ring after I fully close the browser?

Not reliably. A static web app cannot provide native alarm guarantees once the browser process is terminated, and background notification policies vary by system.

Can I run several timers at once?

Yes. Run independent timers simultaneously, schedule them to finish together, stagger starts, or execute the selected timers as a sequence.

Does it include a stopwatch and interval timer?

Yes. Stopwatch mode records lap and split times, while interval mode includes Tabata, HIIT, boxing, breathing, warm-up, cool-down, rounds, and local cues.

Can I enter a target clock time?

Yes. Inputs such as until 17:30 or meeting at 3:45 pm create a timer for the next matching local time. Date and timezone planning is available in World Time Studio.

Does it work offline?

After the shared static Service Worker caches this route and its core assets, the timer and local data features can work offline subject to browser cache policies.

Why might notifications or screen wake lock stop?

Both require browser support and user permission. The operating system may throttle notifications or revoke Wake Lock, so the visible timer remains the authoritative fallback.
