Frequently asked questions
Where does the holiday data come from?
The default browser provider is date-holidays. Its code uses the ISC license and its holiday data uses CC BY-SA 3.0. Coverage and attribution are shown inside the tool.
Is every holiday guaranteed to be accurate?
No. Holiday laws, proclamations, moon sightings, school schedules, and local rules can change. Recheck important dates against the relevant government, school, bank, or employer.
Does it support regional holidays?
It supports first-level subdivisions when the selected provider has data. City, school, company, and lower-level coverage varies and should not be assumed complete.
Does it automatically know Chinese make-up workdays?
No. Public holidays alone cannot safely infer official make-up workdays. Add verified extra workdays and adjusted days to the private custom calendar.
How are business days counted?
The engine applies explicit workdays first, then custom days off or half days, provider holidays, configured weekends, and ordinary workdays. Start and end inclusion are configurable.
How does the leave planner work?
It deterministically searches bounded date windows and ranks consecutive breaks by leave used, total days, efficiency, and date. Suggestions are planning aids, not employment advice.
Can it plan for an international team?
Yes. Compare up to twelve locations and find dates when all or a chosen minimum are working. It compares dates, not individual attendance or meeting hours.
Are my company and personal dates uploaded?
No. Custom days and team settings stay in IndexedDB in this browser. The optional Nager provider remains disabled unless its separate production-use terms are approved.
